In the News: Longchamp Unveils New Store Concept

Longchamp has revamped its Madison Avenue store!

The former design dated to 1999 and "we needed to realign out physical look to what the brand had become," CEO Jean Cassegrain said. "There were some practical issues, such as integrating the ready-to-wear collection."

"We this that is matches our image very nicely insofar as it's modern and cool but not cold," he said. "It's warmer than most of our competitors are... We want to show the colorful, playful characteristics of the brand."

There are some quirky touches, WWD reports, including a retail display homage to Parisian booksellers along the Seine and an elevator with a depiction of the Eiffel Tower on its ceiling.

Bow Back Tee

At first I wasn't sure how I felt about this RED Valentino 'Silk Organza Bow Back Tee' ($295.00), but I have to say, it is pretty fabulous. From the front it is a matte viscose jersey tee, and from the back, an inset of sheer, fluttering silk organza is topped at the nape of the neck with a gigantic bow. It definitely makes a statement, and the periwinkle blue is equally as flattering.

The Milan-based company Jil Sander is launching a new casual and more affordable collection, Jil Sander Navy, for spring 2011. "We are targeting all kinds of categories that aren't completely represented in the main collection," said Alessandro Creminesi, CEO of Jil Sander. "There will be some surprises in terms of prints and colors. But they are done the Jil Sander way,"

Shopista Look for Less: Tie-Dye Bags

For a fun splash of color, tie-die bags are the perfect accessory this summer! This Bottega Veneta 'Large Tie-Dye Hobo' ($1,550.00) looks amazing paired with more neutral tones, and will definitely make a statement.

But there are a lot of great options at a more reasonable price-point, that are equally as great. I love this Rebecca Minkoff 'Tie Dye Easy Rider Date Clutch' ($375.00). Another fabulous option is this Halston Heritage 'Tie Dye Sac Bag' ($125.00) that adds a little oomph to any outfit.

Other great options include: Big Buddha 'Navy Tie-Dye Woodstock Hobo' ($85.00), and Sammy Handmade in Ethiopia 'Marta Tie Dye Flat Clutch' ($345.00).

Shopista Look of the Week: Rompers

Rompers are perfect for summer, and so comfortable. I particularly like long-sleeved rompers for out at night. The look great with heels and a clutch. One of my favorites this is Parker 'Silk 3/4-Sleeved Romper' ($181.00 on sale). Or this Dolce Vita 'Sunny Romper' has a great deep-v neckline.

Floral rompers are great during the day, and so summery. This Twelfth Street 'Keyhole Cami Romper' ($275.00) is a great option, as well as this What Goes Around Comes Around 'Jasmin Romper' ($220.00).

They can also be a great beach cover-up. This Roxy 'Day Trip Romper' ($49.50) and this Ella Moss 'Ruffled Romper' ($132.00) come in great colors and perfect for sunny days.

And I love pant-rompers, especially this linen Graham & Spencer 'Strapless Jumpsuit' ($250.00), and this Diane von Furstenberg 'Cargo Jumpsuit' ($398.00) which are a so feminine, and a little different then then the basic romper.
